NUK.AE (hereinafter the “Company”) which operates and maintains the website (https://nuk.ae/) is committed to reserving the privacy of the Client’s (collectively referred to as the “User”) personal information provided while the User is browsing the Company’s web site.

PRIVACY POLICY PROMISE

The information on the Company website aims to provide the User with the required information and the best brief of the Company’s superior service, yet the Company’s most important asset is the User’s trust. The Company ensures that the User’s information is secure and only used as the User would want. The User’s privacy is a high priority. 

COLLECTION OF INFORMATION:

The Company collects a combination of personal and statistical information about Users who use the Company’s website, when the Users are registered. The Company stores all User’s information with utmost attention to privacy and security. The Company also complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards, which means that the Company regularly assesses the vulnerability of all the Company’s IP addresses to external interferences and the Company uses Secure Socket Layers (SSLs), which encrypt data when Users log-in or make a payment.

PERSONAL INFORMATION REQUIRMENTS:

All registered Users are asked to provide the Company with the following personal details:

• Full Name
• Email Address
• Contact Number
• Billing Address.
• Shipping Address(es)
• Name/ Date of Birth/ Gender of Child/ Children (when applicable)

The Company and its third-party partners, for example, advertisers and content providers, may also collect statistical information about Users while the Users use the Company’s website. Statistical information that the Company gathers may include where a user is and on the Internet (e.g. the URL that they last came from, the computer’s IP address and the domain types like .com and .ae that the user uses), browser type, which language content is being viewed in, the country and telephone area code where the computer is located, the pages of the Company’s website that were viewed during the visit, the advertisements that were clicked-on and any search terms that were entered on the Company’s website. The Company does not use this information to identify Users personally and the Company may collect it even if the User is not registered on the website. The Company also records all telephone calls and saves all email contact that Users have on the website.

This is for the purpose of quality control and the development of the Company’s services. The Company may also however collect additional personal data and information from the User’s telephone calls and emails.

THE COMPANY PROMISES:

The Company only uses User’s information to carry out the User’s order and send specially selected emails about deals that the Company think will interest the User. The Company doesn’t sell the User’s information to any third-party organizations and only shares it with the Company’s trusted partners who help make the User’s experience on the website what it is. The Company’s responsibility is to protect the User’s personal information from unauthorized access by third parties. The details collected from Users do not include the User’s credit card details.

COOKIES POLICY:

Cookies are small text files that gather information about non-personally identifiable visitors to websites. IP and ULR addresses are gathered using Cookies – as well as the date and time of a visit to the Company’s site. Cookies help customize the User’s Internet experience and are used on most commercial sites. Cookies allow the Company to help bring to the User the offers, advertisements, and features that are most relevant to the User and allow the User to save personal details on the User’s browser, such as User’s password, which will be accessible the next time that the User visits the Company’s website. The User can adjust their browser to have an alert when a website is trying to send to cookies to them and to block all cookies whilst visiting the Company’s website. Blocking cookies will mean that the User is only able to use NUK.AE for the purpose of browsing and research rather than purchasing products. While using cookies, the Company can track previous websites that the Company’s visitors usually use,  along with the websites which other Users of the IP address have been to as well, plus the search terms entered by users. Cookies are used purely for the purpose of statistical analysis of traffic flows for the improvement of the Company’s website and are never stored in a form in which individual Users can be identified. Therefore, Cookies are not used to collect personal information about the User. The statistical data collected because of Cookies is not transferred to the Company’s third-party partners in a form that discloses any of the User’s personal details in connection with the third parties.  Please be aware that the Company’s providers of advertising and content on the Company’s website may also use cookies to collect data about traffic flows themselves. The Company makes sure that all the Company’s partners follow stringent security and privacy procedures.

Google:

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google’s advertising requirements can be summed up by Google’s Advertising Principles, which Google can put in place to provide a positive experience for Google services implemented on NUK.AE:

• Demographics and Interests Reporting
• DoubleClick Platform Integration

The Company along with third-party vendors, such as Google uses first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) or other third-party identifiers together to compile data regarding its User’s interactions with ad impressions, and other ad service functions as they relate to the Company’s website.

WHY THE COMPANY COLLECTS THIS INFORMATION:

The Company collects this information so that the Company can personalize the User’s shopping experience and make sure that the User can easily find what the User really wants and needs. The Company also uses it to process the User’s orders efficiently and accurately (i.e. the Company might have to call the User to confirm an address), for statistical and survey purposes, to make sure that the User is included when the Company considers making site changes and/or adding new product lines and ensures the web content advertisements appearing on the User’s screen are specially tailored to the User’s needs. The Company will only contact the User by email about special offers and deals with the User’s prior consent.

The Company uses cookies to assess which advertisements the User can access and which areas of the site are viewed the most. By measuring traffic flow in this way, the Company can assess the most popular features as well as areas that need improvement. The Company does not store any information from cookies for longer than the User’s session on the Company’s website lasts, although the User can choose to store information by saving the User’s trolley or password.

WHO THE COMPANY SHARES INFORMATION WITH:

The Company shares the User’s personally identifiable information with reputable third parties who help process the User’s order, such as delivery and logistics teams and payment processing agencies. All third parties that work together to process the User’s order have stringent confidentiality and security measures and are committed to preventing the misuse of the User’s personal information. The Company also reserves the right to share the User’s personal details if the Company believes it is necessary to comply with the law, to protect the safety of NUK.AE or the safety of the Company’s Users, or to protect NUK.AE property rights.

The Company may share non-personally identifiable information, such as the User’s URL or IP address with third-party advertisers or third-party advertising companies. This information CANNOT be traced to the User’s personal details.

PRODUCT REVIEW:

The User can choose to add product reviews and the User may be asked to contribute them after purchasing an item. This is an optional rather than obligatory part of being a NUK.AE registered user. The User’s product reviews may be used in NUK.AE marketing and / or promotional material and or that of the manufacturer of the reviewed product and / or any of the Company’s partner companies who can work with the Company to serve the User. The User has the right to remove the review at any time.

NUK.AE COMMUNITY:

As with product reviews, the User’s comments, and contributions to the NUK.AE community may be used by NUK.AE in its marketing and / or promotional material as well as that of any of the Company’s featured brands, manufacturers, or merchants. The User’s comments and contributions may also be used in the marketing / promotional material of any of the Company’s partner companies who work with the Company to serve the Users. The User has the option of contributing to the NUK.AE community anonymously.

INFORMATION SECURITY:

The security of the User’s personal details is of utmost importance to the Company. The Company employs stringent security measures to make sure that the User’s details cannot be accessed by third parties that the Company do not already have a trusted relationship and agreement with. The Company complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards, which means that the Company regularly assess the vulnerability of all the Company’s IP addresses to external interferences and the Company uses Secure Socket Layers (SSLs), which encrypt data when Users log-in or make a payment.

LEGAL REQUIRMENTS:

The Company may disclose the User’s Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

• Comply with a legal obligation
• Protect and defend the rights or property of the Company
• Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service
• Protect the personal safety of Users or the Service, or the public
• Protect against legal liability

USER’S INFORMATION & RIGHTS:

The User has the right to view all and any part of the personally identifiable information that is kept by the Company about the User. Users are requested to contact the Company and make a request to provide the User with all the personally identifiable information that the Company stores about the User. The User also has the right to change all personally identifiable information that the Company keeps on record. See the following paragraph for more details:

CHANGING USER INFORMATION:

Once the User changes or revises the personal information on the Company’s website, the Company will only contact or refer to the User by the newest information that the User has provided. To change or revise any of the personal information the Company holds about the User, Users are requested to contact the Company by email.

CONDITIONS OF USE:

By joining and / or using NUK.AE, the User confirms that they do not consider the stated Privacy Policies to be a breach of the User’s rights. Please note that the Company’s Privacy Policy is periodically updated and that Users are bound by the most recent update of the Policy. It is therefore the User’s responsibility to continue to check the Company’s Privacy Policy for updates. By registering for a NUK.AE account, the User also confirms that they do not object to the Company contacting the User via any of the contact details that the User has provided the Company with upon registration or after registration.

OPTING OUT:

NUK.AE users are given the option of registering for the Company’s newsletter and other news about special offers and deals. If, at any time, the User prefers not to receive email marketing information from the Company, they are requested to follow the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email OR contact the Company at info@nuk.ae and instruct the Company to remove the User’s email address from the Company’s database. For the Company to be able to do so, Users are requested to include their email address in the body of their email and to write “Unsubscribe” in the subject line.” The Company will process the User’s request as soon as possible. In this way, the User can modify their NUK.AE account settings, rather than cancel their membership.

If the Users wish to cancel their NUK.AE account, they are requested to notify the Company’s email – with the words “Cancel Account” in the title. The User’s account will be canceled, and the Company will delete all personal details that the Company has stored about the User within 28 days. However, the Company is not responsible for contacting and / or deleting the personal details about the User that the Company has shared with the Company’s trusted partners.

Users can set preferences for how Google advertises to them using the Google Ad Settings page. Alternatively, the User can opt-out by visiting the Network Advertising initiative opt-out page or permanently using the Google Analytics opt-out Browser add-on.

POLICY MODIFICATIONS

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted here, so be sure to visit the policy periodically.

SEVERABILTY

If any provision of the Terms of Use is held to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall nevertheless continue in full force and effect.

APPLICABLE LAW

The Laws of the United Arab Emirates shall govern the Terms of Use, without regard to conflict of laws principles. All disputes arising in connection therewith shall be heard only by a court of competent jurisdiction in Dubai, UAE.
